Family, Festivals, Fun - Utah In August

Family, festivals, fun: Utah in August

Now that July celebrations have ended around the United States, Utah is still finding ways to celebrate its diversity and beauty.

The 13th Annual Ogden Valley Balloon Festival in Eden and Huntsville will be held August 17 through 19. If this is a yearly event for you, then get geared to return. If you have not made plans to visit the balloon festival then load up your camera and friends. This festival is free to the public.

The hot air balloons begin to lift off at 7 a.m. The festival includes arts and crafts booths, fine arts, live entertainment, an antique car show, and games for the kids.

It can get crowded so pack the cooler and relax, wear sunscreen and leave the dog at home. The Bear Lake Raspberry Days Festival is another event to load up for with friends. Bear Lake is one of Northern Utah's most beautiful lakes.

The Raspberry Days Festival is August 2 through 4 in Garden City. The days are filled with craft fairs, parades, dances, golf tournaments, a 5K fun run, live music, rodeos, a Boy Scouts of America pancake breakfast, and more fireworks.

Don't leave without trying a famous Raspberry Shake. If you are not able to attend the festival, make sure you drive up during the fall. Utah is great in August!
